What is Loaded Tea? 

Loaded tea, also known as boosted tea, is a caffeinated beverage made up of tea, supplements, and vitamins. As the name suggests, it's a type of drink that's suppose to be loaded with ingredients. These ingredients are usually claimed to support health and well-being by enhancing performance and mental clarity as well as boosting metabolism and suppressing hunger.

In recent times, loaded teas have blown up in popularity on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. With how aesthetically pleasing they are, it is no surprise why these "energy drinks" are trending today.

While other recipes may call for a specific tea concentrate, we will be using Waka's instant tea powder. Since there is no exact recipe for loaded teas, the ingredients are ultimately up to you. 

Tainted Love Loaded Tea Recipe

The Tainted Love loaded tea recipe is a part of Silver Lining Lessons' Valentine's Day series. Just because it's called "tainted" does not mean the drink is actually contaminated. We assume it's called "Tainted Love" because the drink features a dark red gradient that is similar to the color of dried or deoxygenated blood.

Ingredients

• 1 tsp of 4C Energy Rush (Berry)

• 1/4 tsp of Waka Black Instant Tea powder
• 1/8 tsp of Nutricost Guarana powder
• 1/2 tsp of Klass Hibiscus Berry drink mix
• 1/2 tsp of Hawaiian Punch White Water Wave drink mix
• 1/4 tsp of Hawaiian Punch Lemon Berry Squeeze drink mix
• 2 oz of Wild Berry Aloe Vera juice
• 6 oz of hot water
• 8 oz of cold water
• Ice

Instructions

1. Dissolve 4C Energy Rush, Waka black tea powder, Guarana powder, and Hibiscus Berry drink mix in 6 oz of hot water.
2. Pour into the bottom of a 32 oz cup.
3. Pack the cup with ice and coat the top of the ice with aloe vera juice.
4. Mix White Water Wave and Lemon Berry Squeeze with 8 oz of cold water.
5. Add mixture into cup with the other ingredients.
6. Enjoy!
